The year Windfield National School took part in Active Schools Week 2026 as we work towards the Active Schools Flag.
Active Schools Week was enjoyed by all members of our school community, both students and staff!
Across the week the children took part in many team based and individual activities including a school-wide football tennis tournament, basketball shots relay races, running races and Crazy Golf as this was the theme of this year's Active Schools Week nationwide! The children put together their own putting courses and had great fun practising their golf skills. Another fantastic part of Active Schools Week in Windfield National School was Ms McPhillips coming to visit to teach the children yoga! These lessons were fantastic and the children learned some great chair yoga moves. Thank you so much to Ms McPhillips! Our Active Schools Committee were a great help in setting up activities and our older students were fantastic helpers to our younger students! Well done everyone!
